		<description>I like how you listed the factors to consider.  While being debt free is only the beginning, it does not necessarily mean that it’s the only goal to start with.  You did an excellent job of listing the considerations that should come to play in each individual’s situation.</description>

I think the fact that a lot of this stuff has actually been recommended by financial &quot;professionals&quot; has lulled people into thinking that it&#039;s actually a good decision to carry a certain amount of debt. I hope the pendulum is going to swing the other way soon and if it takes out some of the less scrupulous people involved on the way back, I&#039;m OK with that.</description>

		<description>Exactly...  I read your comments at CC and agree...  debt is the major hinderance for RRSPs.  Oh, and if you&#039;re not convinced of that, consider an RRSP loan... so you can have more monthly payments.  Geez... what a system!
