		<description>I think Canada will be a great place to invest over the long term as well. Even if we do experience a downdraft in commodities because of near term deflationary pressures due to the global debt load, we are not going into it with nearly as much leverage as the U.S., the U.K, or most other countries. 

I think a correction in housing would be very healthy, as long as it remains orderly. I agree with you on Australia as well, although I&#039;m not sure their 40% tax levy on mining companies was not the brightest idea.

		<description>Very good piece. I agree with both sides. However, I do favor Canada over the long term because the demand for commodities will only increase over time and I don&#039;t think we are anywhere near a housing bubble like the one experienced in the US.
We could definetly see house prices level off or even go down over the next few years. As far as westernized countries go I can only think of Australia who even comes close to being as economically sound as Canada.
